This project focuses on developing a sustainable network of solar-powered charging stations designed for both electric scooters and bicycles in Auckland’s high-traffic areas. These charging stations will be accessible to multiple shared mobility brands, encouraging eco-friendly transportation options and reducing the carbon footprint of urban commuting.
The initiative includes designing two types of stations: SuperCharge Station integrated with public transportation stops and QuickCharge Hubs strategically placed in locations like universities and shopping districts.
Alongside the infrastructure, a key component will be integrating these charging stations into apps like Lime's, offering user incentives to promote regular use. This prototype for Lime will highlight user engagement and sustainable practices, with the potential to extend across various platforms.
