The project etri addresses some of the challenges shared by individuals with endometriosis and resulting chronic back pain symptoms in maintaining workplace productivity. These challenges are exacerbated by a lack of workplace accommodations, forcing individuals to choose between working whilst experiencing severe discomfort or taking leave. A user-centred endometriosis support platform, etri, was developed using Stanford's Design Thinking Process, which foregrounds empathising, defining, ideating, prototyping, and testing. The website etri offers resources for information, managing physical symptoms, mental well-being, community connection, and ovulation tracking to be integrated within an individual's work life. The platform additionally offers data that organisations can leverage to advocate for future policy change. The solution aims to empower affected individuals to effectively perform their duties, fostering a more inclusive workplace environment.
