"How might we use existing technology to help new comers quickly adapt to unfamiliar environment?"

New Zealand welcomes thousands of newcomers every year, and the first few hours after arriving are often filled with uncertainty and stress. Airport navigation, unfamiliar transport systems, and cultural differences can lead to confusion and delays, impacting their initial impressions and confidence in adapting to their new environment. This project aims to help new immigrants quickly build confidence in life here, starting with the most basic steps: leaving the airport.

Touch NZ is a navigation platform designed to help new immigrants efficiently navigate airport procedures and access important information. The app provides personalised, step-by-step guidance, helping users understand routes, transport options, and cultural customs. By streamlining the airport departure process, Touch NZ helps new immigrants increase their independence, reduce anxiety, and build confidence in adapting to life in New Zealand.
