Smart Future is a platform for international students to find employment in New Zealand and promotes diversity in the workplace.

International students have faced increased competition for jobs due to the pandemic and other factors over the past three years. Smart Future collaborates with educational institutions and various cultural communities in New Zealand to enable offline work and communication activities. These activities help international students to make more friends in their new environment.

The design of Smart Future is based on three core values: Respect, Equity and Creativity. Smart Future prioritises diversity and inclusivity over job-hunting apps.

Job-seekers complete a 16-question personality test to determine the type of job and environment in which they would be most productive. They also upload their CV, portfolio, and other relevant information (they only need to do this once). Job-seekers can filter available jobs based on their preferences. Hiring companies can view job-seekers profiles by clicking on the job-seekers homepage. If the hiring company is interested, they can schedule interviews directly online without requiring time-consuming offline interviews. This process increases efficiency and provides a more flexible platform for job-seekers and hiring companies.
