Rescuer teaches tourists visiting New Zealand how to rescue marine animals in trouble.
In recent years, the survival of marine animals such as little penguins has been getting worse and worse due to different human factors. How to best help these marine animals is a highly controversial topic. Some people believe that the government should come to the rescue of the animals with experts. In contrast, others think tourists can help the animals in the process of tourism. Either way, it is necessary to let people know how to rescue marine animals in trouble.
For my design project, I designed an app to help solve as many problems as possible for marine animals living in difficult environments.
The project's main purpose is to make it easier for tourists visiting New Zealand to help marine animals needing help in certain emergency situations, including step-by-step instructions and important information on how to get help, such as rescue phone numbers.
In addition, the audience extends to tourists, and also the general public, experts and academics. The information shared with the app can form a unique "database" through the experiences and data its users share so that more people will accept it. As the number of users grows, this section will gradually approach citizen science.
The last part is a voluntary donation. We welcome all those who would like to contribute to the development of 'Rescuer', and we would like to express our sincere gratitude to them.
I want to thank everyone who came to see my work. If you have questions, you can contact me via email. Here is a link to the test of my design project: https://www.figma.com/proto/lO....
