Abstract

This project addresses the mental health challenges faced by young adults with physical disabilities, with a specific focus on stress reduction and overall mental well-being. The system utilises a neurofeedback approach, employing the Unicorn Hybrid EEG device to monitor users’ brainwave activity. By capturing the users’ focus and relaxation levels, the system translates these into interactive visual feedback through the platform Mind Trip. Instead of relying on traditional, complex game mechanics, the system offers a calming, immersive experience where users control on-screen actions through their mental focus. This method encourages relaxation, self-reflection, and a sense of achievement, helping to alleviate mental stress. Designed to be accessible and user-friendly, the system provides a therapeutic tool for individuals who face both physical and emotional challenges, offering a supportive environment for mental health management.
