Inspire community volunteering to advance gender equity in football clubs.

Gender inequity in football remains a persistent issue despite policies aimed at improving inclusivity.

Girls Got Game is a system designed to inspire community involvement to advance gender equity within football clubs.

 It includes three core components:

  1. An educational booklet with trading cards.
  2. A volunteer opportunity website.
  3. A sustained social media campaign for ongoing engagement.

This project focuses on bridging the gap between policy and practice by fostering gender equity within football clubs through community engagement. The initiative targets East Coast Bays Football Club, aiming to implement the Northern Region Football (NRF) Gender Equity Charter, which has struggled to gain community support. The model has the potential to be implemented across any football club committed to gender equity, striving for a future where everyone feels valued and heard.
