"How might we empower future adolescents with the knowledge of maintaining a balanced diet through the holistic framework of Te Whare Tapa Whā, to foster well-being and enhancing people's lives?"
Abstract
In a world where daily nourishment profoundly impacts well-being, 'Te Whare Rautaki o Nga Kai - The Food Strategy House' emerges as a visionary project bridging culture and wellness. It addresses unhealthy eating habits among young adults by embracing Māori health values. Focusing on physical, mental, family, and spiritual health, it aims to raise awareness of healthier eating choices. At its core is an architectural model symbolizing this vision, showcasing potential food places within the University of Auckland. Collaborating with diverse stakeholders, the project creates an engaging experience that encourages informed food choices, contributing to the school community's well-being while honouring its cultural heritage.
