Kawa-Kete Growing Kit

Kawa-Kete; A Multi-faceted Growing Kit For Urban Communities.

This research project explores research regarding one of New Zealand's most valuable native plants, the Kawakawa, and the lack of knowledge and practices involving the plant in urban communities today. The healing power of nature is something that is being lost in our modern urbanised world. This design project aims to create multi-faceted healing from advocating the plant to revitalise traditional practices from our Māori culture in Aotearoa. In ways of educating urban communities who have less access to the plant and its knowledge for future generations to give back to the whenua, replenish and treasure one of nature's great taonga.
