Overview
'In Help' is an app designed to improve communication efficiency and provide a mentor for each new graduate entering the workplace. It specifically aims to address the challenges immigrant graduates face in feeling included at work, helping them integrate into their work environments more quickly and effectively.
Problem
With a 20% increase in student visa applications, the number of graduates experiencing exclusion in the workplace may rise due to differences in work culture, language barriers, and a lack of understanding of the local work environment. Both research and the survey results indicate that an app could help address these challenges. Therefore, I plan to develop an app designed to help individuals integrate into the work environment more quickly and effectively.
Research Question
However might we design a tool for immigrants to support immigrant graduates and help them feel more included in the workspace during onboarding?
Solution
The final solution, 'In Help' will function as a platform to facilitate better communication within the workplace, addressing issues related to language and culture. Additionally, each user’s manager will be assigned as a mentor, guiding them to a better understanding of both the company culture and the local work environment.
