The research question for thisĀ
project is...
How might we provide resources to create a better community and understanding surrounding dyslexia in workplaces for employers and employees?
This research project focuses on building empathy and understanding for individuals with dyslexia, using the Triple Diamond design process by Zendesk. It highlights the strengths of dyslexic individuals, while also addressing the challenges they face, calling for increased awareness and support in workplaces. Partnering with Diversity Works New Zealand, I have created Beyond Words, a publication with a clear mission. This publication is a strategy as a whole to create a better work environment through diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).
Beyond Words is an informative publication. The goal is to create understanding and empathy towards dyslexia. It shows the struggles dyslexic individuals face side by side with strategies that workplaces can use to better cater for dyslexia. This goal of the publicationĀ is to create empathy and understanding of what dyslexia actually is. Through my research of the experiences and obstacles faced by those with dyslexia, I aim to promote a sense of awareness and appreciation for the daily battles they confront.
